Body-mass reduction

Excess weight, due to the enlarged quantity of fat tissue, does not only present an esthetic problem but is a high risk factor for the beginning of various metabolic and functional disorders which directly endanger health and manifest as different sicknesses and diseases. According to the World Health Organization, over 70% of the populations is overweight. It is obvious how big of a problem not taking care of one’s body is. Professor Ilic estimated, two decades ago, in which direction people’s health and consciousness would develop in, and developed a program for body-mass reduction which is unique in the world and a 100% effective. We are especially proud of the body-mass reduction program for young children and adolescents, whose laws of body functioning are completely different during the processes of growth and development and those of the adults.

The optimal body weight in not a one-dimensional relation of mass versus height. Individuals of the same age, sex and height do not have the same ideal weight. It is necessary to include morphological characteristics, the ratio of various types of tissue, the functional status of the body, the morphotype (genetic predisposition for a particular type of tissue type relation) and many other factors when analyzing optimal body mass.

The main characteristic of our work on body-mass reduction is volume reduction of body segments by reduction of fat tissue. During the whole process, continuous changes to the body structure are done by varying the quantities and the ratio of different tissue types. Special emphasis is placed on thigh and pelvic reduction. In contrast to other similar exercise and diet programs, the program offered by the “PROFEX – Academy of Healthy Life” does not lead to dehydration and the famous ‘yo-yo’ effect.

By systematically affecting the metabolism, with several different factors, it has an effect on quick activation and maximum extension of the lipolysis or the process of activating fat as the primary source of energy in the training process.

The main tool which we use is the specific technique of speed walking which is world renowned and patented by Professor Dusko Ilic, and as support to the improvement of the neutral component of the muscle tonus and active structures of the muscle tissue we use floor exercises.

Body-mass reduction program develops in three connected stages:

  • Preparation of the joints and locomotor apparatus for exercising;
  • Melting of fat depots;
  • Conservation of the ideal state:

Preparation of joints lasts 14 to 20 days. By using series of specific exercises with optimal and individually dosed loads and the obligatory, adjusted diet, which is established in this phase and tracked throughout the complete training process, we ensure stable work conditions. In this phase, the client feels subjectively the biggest difference – a sense of power is acquired, which is later channeled into exercising with effective fat burning. This phase is characterized by different side effects, which are all a reaction of the body to the new and specific work: pain, pangs, numbness, joint cracking … These effects are fine indicators of body activation.

Joint preparations is directly connected with the increase of elasticity and strength of the connective tissue which, along with the synovial production, affect the oiling of the joints, accumulation of the cartilage sediment and increased tissue blood vessels, makes conditions for improving the status of locomotor apparatus.

The melting of the fat depots is a phase where body has already adapted to lots of regular and relatively intensive exercise. The training magic then arrives at the scene: the ratio of total quantity of work and rest, choice of exercises, total number of different exercising while at work, the speed of execution of specific moves, the total number of series, the total number of repetitions in a series and the number of total repetitions during a session, choice of type of the break, the length of the break with regard to the length of exercising, character of the break and choice of the break of a particular character depending on the previous exercise, etc.

Conservation is a process which induces plastic changes in specific tissues so that they become resistant to any kind of fat storage in the system. Some of the necessary psychological changes with regard to adopting food, physical activity, health, or body hygiene habits have already taken place along with the body changes. With such a serious approach to exercise, diet and daily habits, reduction of body weight is inevitable.

During the three described stages, several other important processes occur:

  • Creating and maintaining a stable aerobic base which is a mechanism for extracting food energy without creating oxygen debt, in other words with a high enough oxygen intake.
  • Removal of the broad range of metabolic disorders and metabolic syndrome effects.
  • Stabilizing and then treating of various defects in hormonal secretion processes, digestive system diseases and gas exchange.
  • Kidney and renal calyces dysfunction removal, which due to inadequate diet and intake of unsuitable fluids, affect fluid retention in the body, edema creation and bloating. By removing all these problems, not only is the quantity of liquid reduced along with the weight but it directly affects psychological relief, reduction in body swelling especially the legs and a whole slew of physiological and metabolic processes.
  • Skin rejuvenation.
  • Reposition of bone endings and healing of joint changes, which create a positive energy balance while working on the locomotor apparatus.

 As a result of all the listed changes, psychological changes also take place – a physiological impact is placed on disburdening of the nervous system by liquid reduction in the body which affects the neuro-vegetative system and reduction of nervousness due to the regulation of the positive and negative electricity inside and outside of cells.
